Our E-Safety Champions: Keeping You Safe Online
At the Valley School, we know that the internet is a powerful tool for learning and communication. But we also know that it can present a lot of risks (both known and unknown), especially for young people. That’s why we have a team of E-Safety Champions who are dedicated to keeping our students safe online.
Our E-Safety Champions are students who have been specially trained on a range of online safety topics, including cyberbullying, online grooming, and social media safety. They work with other students to raise awareness of these issues and to help them stay safe online. They have regular meetings with Mr Dawood to discuss the latest online safety issues and what could be done to further improve the learning experiences for them and their peers and to keep everyone as safe as possible online.
Here are just a few of the things our E-Safety Champions do:
- Give presentations to other students about online safety
- Create posters and leaflets about online safety
- Run workshops on online safety
- Help other students with any online safety concerns they may have
- Be the eyes and ears within school and share what they know about the latest online trends
- Be a voice for other pupils on all things related to E-Safety
Our E-Safety Champions are an important part of our school community and we are very proud of the work they do.
