The Valley’s Uniform
At the Valley, we believe that a school uniform is important for a number of reasons. It helps to promote a sense of community and belonging, and it can also help to create a positive learning environment. Our uniform policy is simple and straightforward.
The uniform shops that sell the Valley School logo uniform are:
- Smart Clothing (Bolton town centre near the Market); and
- Harrisons on Blackburn Road, Bolton.
Most supermarkets sell uniform that hasn’t got the school logo on. This is a cheaper alternative. We do not insist on embroidered uniform with the school logo. Parents have a choice where to purchase school uniform from. Second hand uniform is also available from school free of charge. These are items that are donated by other families.
Main Uniform
To keep the cost of uniform affordable,
- Jade Green Polo Shirt / White and Green Checked Dress
- Navy Blue or Black Skirt or Trousers / Navy Blue Pinafore Dress
- Navy Blue Jumper / Sweatshirt / Cardigan
- Black or Navy or White Socks, Tights or Leggings
- Navy Blue or black head scarf (head scarves should be one colour and plain)
- Black or Brown Shoes (No trainers will be allowed except on PE days)
- Yellow High Vis Jacket
PE Kit
- White Polo Shirt
- Navy Blue Tracksuit
- Trainers for Outside PE
- Navy Blue Shorts
- Black Gym Shoes
We understand that there may be occasions when pupils are unable to wear their full school uniform. If this is the case, please let the school know in advance.
We believe that our school uniform is smart, practical, and affordable. We hope that all parents and pupils will support our uniform policy.
