We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed in the Policies section of our website. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with his/her parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.
The following VCS Safeguarding Policies are available on request from the school
- ANTI-BULLYING POLICY
- BEHAVIOURAL POLICY
- CENTRAL STAFFING RECORD
- CHILD PROTECTION AND SAFEGUARDING POLICY
- CHILD PROTECTION EARLY INTERVENTION CONNEXIONS

The internet has changed all of our lives, particularly our children’s. For parents and carers, this opens up a whole new world of things to be aware of. The internet can be a fantastic place for children and young people where they can talk to friends, be creative and have fun. In our schools, Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families and carers has a role to play in safeguarding children.
Safeguarding is not just about protecting children, learners and vulnerable adults from deliberate harm, neglect and failure to act. It relates to broader aspects of care and education.
